Shipping & Returns


Joseph Barber & Company ships to all areas of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Shipping rates are calculated according to the Continental United States zip codes, shipping zones, and weight of parcel. Joseph Barber & Company strives to offer our customers the best shipping rates possible. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, and P.O. Boxes are shipped via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail and shipping will need to be calculated. Currently we are using a flat rate shipping schedule that is listed below unless we are running a special on shipping posted on our website.

Joseph Barber & Company offers FedEx standard overnight and second day shipping** but orders must be in by the cutoff which is 6:30 Eastern Standard Time. Shipping charges are calculated by weight and zip code within the United States only, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. We will notify you by e-mail prior to shipping your items. Additional charges may apply but we will do our best to meet the shipping needs of our customers, especially during holidays.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Current Shipping Charges

Standard shipping charges are as follow and based on the total cost of your order unless otherwise noted:

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.

Non-Returnable Conditions

Please make note, however, that there are certain items and conditions that we will not warrant a return exchange or refund. After 30 days, Joseph Barber & Company will not accept returns exceeding the purchasing date or on special orders.

Conditions are listed as follow:
              •  Used/open products such as shaving creams and soaps,
                  aftershaves, colognes and razor blades.
              •  Products missing manufacture serial numbers, lot  numbers, or UPC bar codes.
              •  Products that are not in their original packaging and/or original shipped
                  condition, damaged, or missing parts.
              •  Used shaving brushes and double edge razors.

Restocking Fee

In some cases, Joseph Barber & Company reserves the right to charge a restocking fee to a buyer for returned items to cover shipping, handling and products not in original shipped condition.

What is a restocking fee?

A restocking fee is a percentage of the item's price depending on the type of item and condition in which it is returned. For example you may charge a restocking fee based on the following amounts:
               •  Up to 20% of item's price if unopened products or non-used and still in their
                  original box and shipped condition that are returned within 30 days after delivery.
               •  Up to 50% of item's price for items that are not in their original box and shipped
                   condition, are damaged, or are missing parts for reasons other than error.
               •  Up to 50% of item's price for products that have been opened (taken out of the
                   shrink wrap and not with original box and paper work for resale).

International Orders

At this time, Joseph Barber & Company does not process orders outside the United States.
